Castellari s.r.l. have been manufacturing high quality horticulture tools for over 30 years. The L.I. technology draws from the combination of three of Italy’s best smitheries. The L.I. lopper is unique by way of its design, the special lever cutting action, counter blade operation, and the weight to size ratio. The lightweight design, strength & reduced cutting effort allows for continuous pruning of fruit trees, grapevines & kiwifruit.

Construction: Both blade and lever are made from high quality steel, hot dropped forged (not pressed). Even with constant use, there is minimal wear on the lever components including the hardened pivot bolts and bushes. The blade is precisely tempered and hardened to Rockwell scale 58, the highest level for optimum cutting performance and durability. Blades will provide a long lasting cutting edge, requiring only an occasional light hone.

The anvil or counter blade is made from forged aluminium alloy (life-time guarantee against breakage) and is designed to reduce cutting blade wear and provide strength. The handles are made from a heavy-duty aluminium race-track extrusion together with highly visible non-slip grips. All units are fully serviceable.

Orchard Loppers

Troncarami: 800mm handles – weight 800 grams- cutting capacity 40-50mm

The Troncarami is an excellent entry level lopper for home garden use. The scalloped blade improves the cutting ability and it’s light weight makes it a very easy lopper to use with excellent power to weight ratio.

L.I. Potatare: 600mm handles - weight 795 grams - cutting capacity up to 40mm

A very compact ultra lightweight lopper, ideal for any user who would like to make the pruning day more productive and easier. The pointed head allows easy access into tight spaces and often saves changing to secateurs. Suitable for pruning fruit trees, citrus and ideal for grapevines & Kiwifruit.

L.I. Tucano M 80: 800mm handles - weight 1050 grams - cutting capacity up to 50mm

The 800mm long-reach handles make this ideal for orchard pruning either from the ground, ladder or hydra ladder. The lightness of the lopper head is particularly apparent when long reaching and will improve productivity by reducing the onset of fatigue. Very clean cutting.

Castellari Parrot Beak Loppers:

New to New Zealand in 2008 are these top of the range Castellari loppers. They are available in two sizes, the 600mm and the 800mm handles and rank highest in both strength and cutting power.

The curved (parrot beak) blade and counter blade give improved branch grip and bite while the scalloped blade increases penetration. The 800mm lopper is Castellari’s biggest selling commercial lopper in Australia and is used extensively in horticulture and viticulture.

Secateurs

The Universale and Ergonomic secateurs both have a forged aluminium counter-blade with a lifelong guarantee against breaking. The notch in the blade cuts down friction and thus increases penetration, while the striking counter-blade allows you to perform clean cuts even after months of work. The hole effect and the stroke of the blade against the counter-blade considerably cut down wrist kickback.

Universale Castellari:

The Universale is a lightweight , soft cutting secateur that is used in commercial vineyard, orchard and grove work in Europe.

This is a true commercial pole lopper that extends to 4 metres and will cut branches up to 45mm.
