TESTIMONIALS

"Our staff love the Zubats. They are better than a chainsaw for the smaller jobs. Convenient, light weight and easy to access. This makes us all more productive."

"Compared to other hand saws I have used the Silky PocketBoy is by far the best.  They are hardy and well built, and for our work targeting pest plants in the bush we find they are a great tool and perfect for cutting close to the ground and ringbarking.  They are lightweight and the blades retain their accuracy and sharpness.  They work so well for us that other organisations who work with us have asked to hire them, or where they can buy them."

Chris Pronk, Te Ngahere Native Forest Management.

"The Silky F180 is a good comfortable saw that you can happily use all day. They don't slip out your hand and are one of the best saws for ringbarking due to the longer and stronger blade."

Paul McDonnell, Te Ngahere Native Forest Management

"After purchasing the Silky Woodboy saw I have been using it for finishing work, mainly in relation to cutting the hidden mitre on skirting boards.  Traditionally this has been done using a coping saw.  There was an adjustment period with the push-action of the cutting stroke, however, I have found that the finish is superior to using the traditional tools I had been using previously.  I have also found it useful in trimming timber scribers that are fitted down the sides of windows over weatherboards.  The saw allows you to take a very fine cut off to get a superior fit compared with a standard wood saw.  I am now thinking of purchasing a larger fold-away Woodboy for use when framing out roof framing, i.e. purlins as, unlike a normal handsaw, you can carry it on your person."

I've just bought the Yamabico and after a brutal 10 minute battle to dominate it I succumbed to its superiority. Don't fight it ... let it do the work! What a saw.

We think the new Alice harvester is great, it is very simple to use and very effective at picking our larger trees. In years to come it is going to be a great tool for us to have. We have around 50 mature trees and around 750 younger trees so it is going to be very handy and we will definitely purchase another one or two once our trees are in full production. It is very light weight and effective. Thanks so much to your company Silex Tools and Olivegrower & Processor.”

"I purchased the Lowe 3106 90 degree slat cutter. We are pictureframers and it is ideal for cutting hard plastic and wood spacers for the rebates of picture frames. Previously we used gardener's secateurs  as they were the only tools sharp enough to handle the material but we could not get the accurate right angles that the Lowe cutters can provide."
